Second Annual Oyster and Beer Festival
Washington Square Park in North Beach
Saturday, March 31 from 11:00am to 6:00pm
The event completing the March celebrations of the feast day of Saint Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint and celebrating the integration of the Irish into San Francisco’s multi-racial culture will be centered around the unconventional but delicious combination of Guinness Stout and fresh oysters.
Harp Lager, wines and champagne, and Celtic Crossing Irish Coffees will also be available at the Festival together with some fine foods ranging from Traditional Irish to seafood to your more usual fair food.
These appetizing treats will be backed up by a great musical line-up on the main stage.
Black 47 in their first return to the West Coast for many years will be supported by Taste, of Rory Gallagher fame, Shana Morrison and Caledonia, The Mad Hannans, and Orla and the Gasmen.
An Irish Village will include the majority of the food and beverage booths with family fun, local interest, wandering minstrels and more.
